Next Hotel Crime Net Meeting!

How the Crime Net Evolved:

The Hotel Crime Net started in the late 70's or early 80's. The Hilton, Captain Cook and the Sheraton realized we are all dealing with the same problem people.

By just kicking them out we were just sending them to another property to continue doing what they were doing. In the long run, we were all losing money and our individual public opinion from guests that were staying at our properties when things went wrong.

By talking with each other, we were able to keep a lot of this element out of our hotels. Today we have much more abilities to share that information and protect ourselves.
All hotels will get the faxes that are received by the Sheraton Hotel Security Department FREE! This is the heart of the Crime Net, sharing information on problems that a property is having. We will not list the name of the property that had the incident (if you dont want it listed), but sharing as much detail as possible will help other properties keep it from happening at their location. So each property must share, thier incidents.  We can't always prevent problems, but with more training- we can prevent it from occurring again! (This is the basic rule of legal liability- have you tried to prevent a problem from a reasonable standard).  So please send in your alerts to the Sheraton Hotel so that they can rebroadcast them out to the other propeties!  Right Now their are 60 properties in the fax broadcast and we just purchased a $100 fax machine so that I can add another 100 properties!

Online Members will get moved to the front of the fax que and get the alerts first!
(They also can view them online and get them sent via email- with color photos when available! We also look up criminal history on persons evicted from hotels and add that to the Members Fax's when they are sent)

The Sheraton Security Fax Number is: (907) 343-3134

Got a problem?

This hotel security network is going to grow very quickly, even past our borders. Send us yor problems and we can help you find new ways to solve them!

Online Members:

Here is some of what the ONLINE Members Get:

Gallery of photos of local problem persons, thieves, prostitutes, Dine & Dash subjects, and just some persons of interest that are involved in hotel crime.

A listing of the minutes from all the hotel Crime Net Meetings- in case your employee could not attend. Get info from APD, the FBI, Department of Homeland Security and more about things going on in local hotels and what to watch for!

A list of 86'd persons in Anchorage, many will list what they did at other properties- so you can decide to rent to them or NOT!

Training for your employees on MSDS, Haz-Mat, safety issues like proper lifting techniques, how to identify criminals, spot fake ID and checks, how to report possible crimes, how to locate illegal activities in your property- like a METH LAB! How to handle irate guests, how to calm a upset guest and much much more!

(We need your suggestions to make it better, we would like to add a vehicle records check if you need to know the owner of a car, a criminal background check on employees, and more!)

Online membership right now is $30 for a year! That is less then $3 a month! Think of how much you can lose with just one incident at your property. How can you afford not to join? As the site gets larger and more involved, it will probably become a small monthly fee- but always just a drop in the bucket compared to how much it saves you!

The actual Crime Net has NO POP-UP Ads! (this is a cost to run and operate the site, hence why we need a small fee for online members)
